SOLD: Marshall DSL1-C
After many months of listing and re-listing, accompanied by a steady stream of lowball offers, I've finally been able to move the Marshall DSL1-C for a price that is a minor win.
How much of a minor win? 10% more than I paid for it. So pretty minor.
Thankfully, the buyer came to my office as he was on his way home (which was way out of town). It goes to show that patience pays - I had no luck finding a seller until a guy from about 5 hours away found himself in town and was able to meet me right along his route.
There isn't much more to say about this, so instead I'll turn my attention to my next acquisition. Without getting too specific, I'm looking for a guitar in the $400-$700 range, and it has to be my youngest daughter's guitar, like the Blacktop was my eldest's.
So it is super disappointing to recognize that this is a 4 hour drive away, which is just too far for me to contemplate. At an estimated $80 in gas, plus the fact that the round trip would literally take all day, this guitar seems just too far out of reach. It's a damn shame really. This is exactly what I wanted...
On the other hand, the Satin finish, P90s, bound headstock and offset meets SG shape have me thinking that this is exactly the out of the ordinary guitar I've been looking for. Any other color and I'd be on the road already.
Unfortunately, this one last all of 48 hours before getting scooped up.
More to come...

Eastman T486B-RD - $780
This list would begin and end with this guitar if not for a couple of factors, which I'll get to in a minute. First, let's all just appreciate this guitar, which has a major Joey Landreth vibe going for it.
Bigsby? Split-block inlays? Flamed Maple under a red finish that doesn't look cheap like so many of the Epiphone Dots on the market? This one checks so many boxes...

LTD Viper 256-P - $200
...Except maybe it isn't. While I thought I was looking for a semi-hollow, this satin finished LTD grabbed my attention. I've never been one for LTDs, feeling much the same way I feel about Epiphone, but there is something so be said for this particular combination of features.
But first, how about all the reasons I DON'T want this guitar: The color is as boring as anything, it's at least a 2 hour round trip away, and it isn't what I initially set out for.

PRS S2 Singlecut - $1200
Right off the bat, this is way out of my price range. On the other hand, it's fucking gold sparkle.
Gold. Fucking. Sparkle.
Which means I'm playing my favorite game in my head right now: "How quickly could I sell the Les Paul Studio?"
A few weeks out and this is still listed... which seems weird to me.
