Nostalgia Sucks
I've been having a really hard time with the thought of selling the Fender Super Champ XD I picked up a few months ago. Truth is, I rarely use it, and the few times I do, I find myself immediately wondering if the Dr. Z Maz 8 will sound better and, whodathunkit, it does.
But the Super Champ does have its qualities - mostly the plug and play nature of the thing - no pedalboards required for delay and verb and drive.
With all the buzz around the Katana (which after two years doesn't seem to be going away), I can't help but wonder if THAT would be the amp that better fit the "plug and play" bill.
There's something else though - there are very few pieces of gear that I don't regret selling, and somewhere along the line I feel like I'll have to revisit each and every piece that haunts me.
At this price, it probably wouldn't be a stretch to get the seller down to $250, and if it were in great condition, I might be convinced (though the red was my least favourite). I'd bet that a decent pair of speakers would transform this amp, but then we're talking about another $150 at least.
As far as living room amps go though, this model has always been a conversation piece.
Update: Seller has lowered to $250, but the condition still sucks...
Update: Seller has lowered to $499 and $100 for the case. Still too much for me... the more I look at it, the more it looks like an Epiphone G400.

Fender Classic Series 60 - $850
Fender Japan is amazing, and this isn't Fender Japan, but it's as close to the Fender Japan ST62-TX as you're likely to find on the used market. No, the Classic Series won't have the Texas Special pickups in the (denoted by the "TX" in the model of the MIJ one), but I said close.
I bought one of these in Japan, then bought an SKB case, shipped it back to Canada, and sold it.
This is the one I regret the most I think.
$850 for the ST62-TX would be a fair price these days, but this is too much for the Classic, unless of course it is the Lacquer version, which would change everything.
Fender Vapourizer - $280
My brother owns one of these (in Surf Green I think), and recently gave me shit for slagging it off in an earlier post. He's probably right to point out that I've spent all of 30 minutes with it and probably wasn't too interested in giving it a fair shake at the time.

Gibson SGJ - $575
Returning to "things I kinda once owned", in this case I owned an SG Standard, here we have what I think is a modified "Gibson SGJ" from the 120th Anniversary Year. I'm not sure though....
The SGJ truss rod cover has been replaced, the posted notes that "THIS IS NOT A FADED", except I'll invite you to look at the finish... there isn't a gloss is all I'm saying.
Oh, and that nice Gibson case in the pic?
Seller wants you to shell out $150 more. FFS people, if it is in the picture, include it in the price.
Oh and don't but this guitar for $725 with case when an extra $175 will get you a Standard on a good day.
Update: Seller has lowered to $499 and $100 for the case. Still too much for me... the more I look at it, the more it looks like an Epiphone G400.
Mesa Recto-Verb 50 - $1000
I also used to own a Single Rectifier Solo Head, and have always wanted the combo version (replete with reverb) to fill the hard rock amp void that is absolutely not required for me to continue to exist.
I think $1,000 is a bit steep, as I've seen them as low as $800, but maybe this is a super clean example of an amp that is out of production (for some reason that I never quite understood - wait no, Recto-Verb 25... duh).
